Ch-ch-changes

During pre-production of a book, a lot is happening. Editing starts. Cover concepts are discussed. And, sometimes, titles are being discussed. The Sentinel is the first in a series and I guess the word "nonpareil" is a bit obscure. I would say my vocabular is epic but, honestly, I Googled for obscure synonyms just like a normal person. Anyhow, it seems obscure words may not make the best series titles, so my publisher and I have been kicking around ideas. That may sound easy - just get creative and pull something cool from the book, right? Well, there's a little more to it. Sure, that's where I started... then I had to do a bit of research to find out if other books or book series had the same or very similar titles. Similar isn't bad... but the same is a little confusing (and honestly feels a little cheap, like I'm borrowing something I shouldn't).

ANYHOW - I say all of that to say that "The Nonpareil Series" has OFFICIALLY be rebranded to *drum roll* A Troubled World.
